The week went by in a blur as we switch to a summer schedule to try and get much of the outdoor chores done by 10:00 AM. Watering the garden in the early hours, herding our animals out to the furthest back pasture rotation each morning, then harvesting green beans, cucumbers and tomatoes before the heat stress of the day, and of course checking and filling water troughs… Everything is beginning to dry out EXCEPT the zinnias in the garden! I planted a big patch of them this year so we can have fresh, vibrant cut flowers every day.
