Sometimes I swear April and May on the farm happens in two weeks. When life starts getting overly complicated, it’s time to go out and just enjoy what God has given you. Look past the un-mowed pastures and watch monster dogs lurking in the pond. Get the hummingbird feeders out and settle into a good garden chair. Put aside the need for perfection or obsessing on a To Do List, and make a Gratitude List instead. This week I am grateful for fresh eggs (and the chicken I accidentally ran over with my cart may she RIP), hummingbirds, strong family relationships and my stepdad’s 92nd birthday, the exceptional flavor of early salad greens from the garden (new fav recipe here).
